4 new shoes in the Candace Parker Collection were coming to market to continue telling the story of Candace Parker herself and inspire future hoopers to take to the courts. Royalty, For Lailaa, Chicago Sky, and Elevated Team each tell a distinct story all while reminding young basketball players that they have their own secret sauce that the sport needs.
We worked with illustrator Carmela Fujii to bring to life the stories behind each shoe in the collection.
The Royalty shoe tells the story of the origin of the name Candace from Ethiopian warrior queen Kandake.
The Lailaa shoe tells the story of Candace Parker's oldest child, Lailaa, who Candace describes as her "reason".
The Chicago Sky shoe tells the story of Candace's hometown and her success with the Chicago Sky WNBA team.
The Elevated Team shoe tells the story of Candace's strengths as an all around player inspiring the next generation of hoopers.
