As long as women has been playing tennis, there has never been a shoe specifically designed for them. Women have been playing since the 1800s using shoes designed for men's feet. But, with the release of Avacourt, adidas said no to the "shrink it and pink it" design philosophy of most shoe companies and created a shoe designed for a woman's game from the ground up.
